Myth #1: the treatment is painful and dangerous.
Truth: The use of Botulinum toxin is simple and fast. The needle used is extremely fine, so that the sensation of pricking is reduced to the minimum. In general, any discomfort at the points of application is instantaneous, while no undesired side effect has been observed, except for a few mild bruises in some cases which subside in the next days. Myth#2: it is only for women.
Truth: This treatment has nothing to do with sex; therefore it is equally popular with men and women. Botulinum toxin is for anyone who is interested in reducing or removing the marks of time from their skin – man or woman.
Myth#3: it is considered a facial filler.
Truth: Botulinum toxin does not fill surface and deep skin lines, nor does it enhance the soft tissue of the face, in order to contribute to skin smoothing. To be more exact, it relaxes the muscles under the skin which cause lines and deep wrinkles.
Myth#4: it results in loss of expression in the face.
Truth: This particular treatment is aiming to improve the appearance of the face, not deform it.
