How is it done?
Liposuction is done under local anesthesia or conscious sedation, depending on the extension of the area and the quantity of local fat, while it normally lasts for 30΄-120΄. The cuts are very small, usually under 1cm., and are done on areas which are covered. Even the cuts on visible points do not pose an aesthetic problem.
The method does not require hospitalization. During the operation and for 24 hours post-surgically an elastic bandage must be applied to avoid blood clots.
An elastic, pressuring form/corset is applied on the suction areas for 40-60 days. In the first 20-30 days it is used on a 24-hour basis, while in the next 20-30 days it is applied only during the day. Gauzes are removed on the 2nd day and the patient can have a normal bath. Bruising usually subsides after 3-14 days, while edema will subside wholly after 3 months.
Stitches are removed after 7 days. The patient is immediately mobilized in order to avoid blood clots. Assisted liposuction allows you to return to work even on the next day, while its final result is visible after 1-3 months.
Assisted liposuction with water is easily carried out, even in a surgery, always in sterile conditions. The possibility to injure fat cells, vessels, lymphatic vessels and nerves is extremely limited compared to conventional liposuction. Additionally, the fat collected is ready for lipotransfer and it can provide volumetric correction to the face (chin, cheekbones, lips, face lines, temporal regions) and to the body, in order to correct injuries and scars and to provide a simultaneous liposculpting.

Complications are rare. Sometimes patients have presented wound infection, blood clots in the lower extremity vessels, slow wound healing, accumulation of serous fluid, hematomas, temporary hypoesthesia of sensory nerves etc. Unfortunately, the aesthetic result of the scars cannot be predicted, but it can be treated with surgical or non-surgical methods.
