These may include blood tests, urine tests, glucose, urea, creatinine, electrolytes, lipid profile, and if necessary, hormonal tests, electrocardiogram, and chest X-ray. Clear instructions regarding the cessation or continuation of medication, smoking, sun exposure, before and after the surgery will be provided in detail.

The classic buttock lift and silicone implant placement are performed under general anesthesia, while lipofilling is done under sedation. The procedure can last up to 2.5 hours, postoperative pain is managed with painkillers and may last 7-14 days. Discomfort is manageable, and you can return to work 15-20 days after the surgery. Physical exercise is allowed after at least 4 weeks.

Postoperative Procedure

Postoperative recovery is generally considered mild. During the initial period, you wear a special corset. In lipofilling, swelling gradually subsides within 3-4 weeks, while in silicone implants, it may take 6-8 weeks. Sitting is allowed from the 3rd day.

Buttock lift provides permanent results, which significant weight fluctuations may reverse. Complications are rare but can occur, especially if you do not follow your doctor’s instructions diligently (wound infection, venous thrombosis of the lower extremities, seromas/hematomas that resolve on their own, temporary numbness from minor sensory nerve injury, asymmetries or irregularities/wrinkling of the skin, implant displacement requiring revision surgery, opening of incisions).
